Spring's arrival marks a fresh start to the year, inspiring us to begin anew. On the morning of February 19, the Weifang Municipal Work Mobilization Conference took place, recognizing NHU with the "Outstanding Enterprise in Investment Promotion in Weifang" award. Additionally, NHU's subsidiaries, Shandong NHU Holding Company Limited, and Weifang Haicheng Thermal Power Company Limited, were honored as the "High Contribution Enterprise in 2023" and "High-growth Enterprise in 2023" respectively. Mr. Yu Hongwei, General Manager of Shandong NHU Holding, and Mr. Zhang Mingmin, Deputy General Manager of Haicheng Thermal Power, accepted the commendations on behalf of their respective companies.
During the meeting, Mr. Yu Hongwei, representing the awarded enterprise, expressed sincere gratitude to the municipal party committee and government for fostering a conducive business environment over the years. He highlighted NHU's 16-year presence in Weifang, emphasizing the company's commitment to its core operations and innovation-driven growth, which have consistently led to significant progress. Looking ahead, he pledged NHU's alignment with the objectives outlined by the Weifang Municipal Party Committee and Government, emphasizing the importance of safety and innovation while accelerating industrial expansion and project implementation. He affirmed the company's dedication to contributing to the city's economic and social advancement.
The award signifies more than just recognition of NHU's role in advancing regional economic growth; it also serves as encouragement and trust in NHU's capabilities, motivating us to forge ahead. 2024 is a pivotal year for realizing our strategic objectives outlined in the "14th Five-Year Plan". Upholding unwavering confidence, we will continue to pursue the "chemical +" and "biological +" strategic pathways, guided by the principles of market expansion, development pursuit, robust management, and risk mitigation. Seizing opportunities and strengthening capabilities, we will enhance operational efficiency and core competitiveness across the enterprise, aiming to achieve significant strides in NHU's high-quality development.
From July 12 to 19, the 53rd IUPAC General Assembly & the 50th World Chemistry Congress took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, under the theme “Chemistry for a Sustainable Future”. Mr. Li Haoran, Honorary Dean of the NHU Research Institute, Ms. Yu Lili, Assistant Dean and Deputy Director of the Product R&D Department, and Mr. He Qiyang, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Cooperation Department, joined over 3,000 chemists from around the world to explore the vital role of chemical science in addressing global sustainability challenges.

From July 25 to 26, 2025, the Group's Mid-Year Meeting and Strategic Planning Seminar were successfully held in Xianghu, Hangzhou. More than 40 executives from the Group and its subsidiaries, along with key functional leaders, came together to outline the blueprint for the 15th Five-Year Plan.
